A Time to Be Born: Annie Lee Dawson was born October 19, 1943, in Hilton, Georgia, to Allie Mae Dawson and James C. Green.

A Time To Plant: Raised in Attapulgus, Georgia, she accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR and became a baptized member of Second Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.

A Time To Be Educated: Annie was educated in Attapulgus at Mount Moriah School.

A Time to Work: She was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for many years in Hartford, Connecticut. Annie’s passion was always cooking and serving others. She was employed at the Holiday Inn, which later became the Charter House, for many years. She also worked at Winn Dixie in the Deli for over 25 years. Jovial, she never met a stranger.

A Time To Rest: On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the age of 81, Annie passed away at home in Bainbridge, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother, her son Timothy L. Green, and her brothers William P. Mosley, Fulton “Fuzz” Bailey, John “Bo” Dawson and Henry Dawson.

A Time To Mourn: She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters: Debra Dawson, Gladys (Tom) Brown, Mary Harris, and Cassandra (Daniel) Henry, all of Bainbridge, GA; four grandchildren: Kwame (Bethany) Dawson of DeRider, LA, Zaikia (Tramell) Peeples of Forsyth, GA, Jasmine Tate of Bainbridge, GA, and Lyatrecia Harris of Albany, GA; six great grandchildren: Tramell Peeples Jr., Kensley Ross, Harmony Dawson, Paisley Peeples, Jontavius Smith, and Bailey Peeples; a brother, Jimmy (Maria) Dawson of Winter Park, FL; a sister, Rosa Gurley of Tampa, FL; two sisters-in-law, Anna L. Mosley and Myra (Al) Evans, both of Attapulgus, GA; a special nephew, Joesph (Felicia) Bailey of Daleville, AL; a godbrother, Little (Coguy) Miles; godsons: Nelson Jones, Jerome Barnes, Kwame Kilpatrick, Napoleon Williams, Keith Bryant, Arthur Kelly, Vincent Smith , and Anthony Smith; goddaughter, Alesia Brinson; and special friends: Dwight Jacobs, Peggy (Johnny) Jones, and Lawanda Cooper, along with a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends who were blessed to know her.
