Calvin James Kendrick

Calvin James “Blue” Kendrick was born October 23, 1961,to Gene Curtis Weatherington of Brinson, Georgia, and Eva Mae Snell-Gordon of Bainbridge, Georgia. Blue was a native and lifelong resident of Bainbridge.

Calvin accepted CHRIST as his SAVIOR. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Brinson, Georgia, under the leadership of Pastor Cleveland Sanders.

Calvin and Brenda were joined in Holy Matrimony; each June 30th they celebrated their anniversary with a special trip. Together they shared five children: Calvin Goodman of Atlanta, Georgia, Lisa Smith (the Late Reverend Douglas) of Rochester, New York, Derick Edwards (Tiffany), Christy Dudley (Germaine), and Angela Harris, all of Bainbridge.

Calvin passed on June 9, 2025. Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister Yvonne Snell of Bainbridge. Among the many who will mourn and cherish Blue’s memories are his loving wife Brenda; children; grandchildren; great grandchildren; his maternal siblings: Sharon Freeman (Andrew), Leasie Busby (Freddie), Willie Carl Snell, Paul Gordon (Exa), Paula Wims (the Late Edwin), Anthony Gordon (Tony), and Randy Gordon (Kimberly); his paternal siblings: The Jameses, Weatheringtons, and Donalsons; his Stone’s Family; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
