Eddie Eugene Freeman

Eddie Eugene Freeman was born on February 6, 1952, in Decatur County, Georgia. His parents were the late Mr. Johnnie Freeman and the late Ms. Hattie Mae Russ of Bainbridge, Georgia.

Eddie accepted CHRIST as his SAVIOR at an early age. Later in life, he joined Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Bainbridge.

Eddie attended the Decatur County Public School System, graduating Bainbridge High School in 1972. After high school, he attended culinary school in Maine. He built his life around his carpentry business.

On Monday, December 29, 2025, THE LORD called Eddie from Labor to Rest. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Iesha J. Freeman; siblings Charles E. Whigham, Joshua Whigham, Willie A. Hopkins and Jewel Freeman Jackson; and godsiblings Kent L. Webb Sr., Linda Webb and Bobbie J. Webb.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of twelve years, Mrs. Annie Ruth Brown-Freeman; children, Ashley Freeman Pearson and Sondra Freeman; bonus children: Andre Guyton, TyKeshia Onyema (Ebenezer), Alonza Guyton Jr. (April), and Antonio Guyton; five grandsons; nineteen bonus grandchildren; six bonus great grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Jones of Columbus, GA, Cassie Hale of Conyers, GA, Kenneth Dale of Eustis, FL, Johnnie Knight Sr. of Crestview, FL, Martha Sue Freeman of Donalsonville, GA, Jeremiah Freeman of Cairo, GA, and Teresa Freeman Baulkman (Maurice) of Bainbridge, GA; godsibling, Ronnie Webb; brothers-in-law: Walter Brown Jr. (Dorothea) of Lompoc, CA, Willie N. Brown, Charles Brown (Deborah), and Wilbur Brown (Kia), all of Bainbridge, GA; aunt, Etta J. Williams of Indianapolis, IN; special friend, Chester “Peter Pan” Neal (Brady) of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
