Ms. Eva Mae Johnson was born November 3, 1954, in Decatur County, Georgia. Her parents were Mrs. Mabel Corker and Mr. Will Johnson, both of whom preceded her in death. She departed her earthly life on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.
She attended the public school system of Decatur County. Eva accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR in life. She was a member of Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Bainbridge, Georgia.
Eva cared deeply about her family, friends and neighbors. She believed in showing up as a pillar in her community; so many have felt loved by her.
Eva had an outgoing, kind personality and warm heart. She could converse and laugh with anyone. She never met any strangers. She was well-known, and her sense of humor made her a joy to be around.
She leaves to cherish her memory three devoted children: Katina (Lester), Derrick (Felicia), and Anthony (Quanda), all of Bainbridge, Georgia; eleven grandkids; six great grandkids; four loving sisters: Linda (Willie), Mary (Terry), both of Atlanta, Georgia, Marion, and Leatha (Kenny), both of Bainbridge; a sister-in-law, Valeria Wooten of Wisconsin; one special nephew whom she raised as her own, David Harper Sr.; two godchildren, Amy Carter (Tori) of Alaska, and Latisha Phillips (Jett) of Bainbridge; a very special friend, Ulysses Howard of Bainbridge; and a host of nieces, other nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
