Gloria Ann Johnson

Gloria A. Johnson was born in Donalsonville, Georgia, on December 20, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Alfred L. Johnson and Sister Vivian H. Johnson.

She was a member of Saint John Church of Seminole County. Gloria received her education at Harper Academy in New York City, New York. She worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor at the federal prison in New York City. She later returned back home and retired from Bainbridge Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia.

Gloria was wed in Holy Matrimony to James E. Johnson on November 28, 1998. They remained until his passing in 2008.

Gloria departed her earthly life on April 30, 2025, at her home in Donalsonville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her sister Leola Johnson and great grandson Kolton J. Evans.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories three children: Kenneth (Audrey) Johnson, George (Katrina) Johnson, both of Donalsonville, GA, and Keichia Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; five grandchildren: Kenyatta Johnson, Keywanna Johnson, Jacque (Cakimmie) Johnson, Kenya Johnson, and Jaquan Johnson, all of Donalsonville, GA; fourteen great grandchildren; two great0great grandchildren; two sisters, Marietta Small of Brooklyn, NY, and Mattie Buggs of Donalsonville, Ga; four brothers: Frank Dickens of Brandon, FL, Alfred L. Johnson, John W. Johnson, and Tyrone Johnson, all of Donalsonville, GA; a godson, Albert Copeland of Huntsville, AL; best friends: Leroy Cumbie, Delores King, Linda Stone, all of Donalsonville, GA, and Pamela Pettyjohn of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
