Maybell C. Jackson Breedlove

Maybell C. Jackson Breedlove was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, on January 3, 1928.  She was one of thirteen children born to Deacon Henry Close and Lucy Stevens Close.  At an early age, she joined the Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur County, Georgia, and attended the public schools of Decatur County. 

In addition to being an entrepreneur and business owner, she was an attentive, dedicated, and devoted mother who raised two children.  Maybell loved and cherished her family, friends, and her community.

 Maybell departed her earthly life in Tampa, Florida, on Friday, January 6, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her parents Deacon Henry and Lucy Close, husband Jessie Collier Jackson, husband Ben Henry Breedlove, son Johnell Jackson, and twelve siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter Rosa B. Washington of Tampa, Florida; devoted granddaughters Kiana Washington of Tampa, Florida, and Nicole Jackson of Rochester, New York; and great grandchildren Alivia Chacon, Sadie Whitehead, Adalina Whitehead, Antonio Rivera, Aliana Rivera and Phoenix Walker. Maybell also leaves to mourn her passing a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
