Myrtice Pearl Hampton was born August 9, 1952, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to the late Mr. Howard and Mrs. Ola V. Hampton. She was preceded in death by her siblings Linda “Bear”, Willie “Henry” and Rebecca “Becky”. She departed her earthly home on October 15, 2025, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Georgia.
Myrtice was educated in the schools of Decatur County, graduating in the Class of 1972. She accepted CHRIST as SAVIOR of her life at an early age and became a member of Mount Zuma Missionary Baptist Church of Bainbridge. She was employed by the Decatur County Public School System for over thirty years.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit and her humorous personality. With a hear full of generosity, Myrtice opened her home to all and turned no one away. She was deeply loved by many and will be truly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Phoebe of Stafford, VA, and Alfred of Bainbridge, GA; her grandchildren: Tilysa, Brianna, Dayquis, Alexis (Kelsey Jr.), Charquilla, Jaquavious, all of Bainbridge, GA, Maliyah, and Malijah, both of Stafford, VA; her great grandchildren: Zion, Kinzley, Sphinix, and Kelsey III, all of Bainbridge, GA; her siblings, Mattie B. and Gloria (Dwight), both of Bainbridge, GA; her sister-in-law, Mary of Albany, GA; her special friends: Angela, Kathy, Constance, and Lorene, all of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
