Mr. Thomas Edward Brenton Sr. , also known as “Fat Thomas”
In Ecclesiastes 3:2, it states that there’s...
A Time to Be Born: Born August 6, 1936, in Bainbridge, Georgia, he was the only child of Mrs. Fannie Mae Donaldson Odom.
A Time to Die: After a courageous battle with an illness, he departed his earthly life on Friday, March 28, 2025.
A Time to Plant: He attended the schools of Decatur County, Georgia. Late in life, Thomas united with the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He loved GOD and his fellow man.
A Time to Love: Thomas lived a life filled with love, humor and passion. He loved life and his family, and he worked very hard to take good care of them. Cleaning was his business. He worked as a presser at Superior Cleaners for many years, Cannon Cleaners and Bainbridge College.
A Time of Peace: He found peace in Golf. He had a passion for golf; it was his favorite sport. His love started when he was a caddy. He attended many tournaments and won many trophies. He had the pleasure of meeting Tiger Woods at the Masters. He wanted so much for his sons and grandsons, even his daughters, to love the sport, but none of them followed in his footsteps.
A Time to Lose: He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Time to Weep: Thomas leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife Mrs. Friendella Brenton; his children Thomas Edward (Vanessa) Brenton Jr., Sandra Brenton (Carlton) Flowers, Debbie Brenton (Derrick) Jones, Michael Larnard Brenton and Margo Denise Brenton; his grandchildren Adolph Noble Jr., Angel LaTea Noble, Patrice Latoya Simmons, Thomas (Rochelle) Brenton III, Gerald Simmons Jr., Kelton Brenton, Amber Ann Brenton, Kaneesha Wallace, Ladashia Harris, Brenton Noble, Hunter Jones, Ny’Untae Jennings and Kennedy Jones; his step-granddaughter Camriss J. Johnson, whom he raised as his own; his grandson Jeffery Johnson, his main man; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; five stepchildren; seven additional step-grandchildren; his sister Joyce; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
